The Story

For most of my life, my career was about serving people.

Whether leading global teams, solving complex problems, or helping customers succeed, one thing never changed—I believed that the best work is work that makes someone else's life better.

Woodworking started as a passion.

It quickly became something more.

Today, Southern Wood Boss allows me to combine craftsmanship with a lifetime of service by creating heirloom pieces that become part of family traditions for generations.

I have the greatest family in the world. My wife, Naomi, of 45 years. Along with my son and daughter and their spouses. 

But the favorite part of my family...I have 3 grands who call me Big Papi.

In January 2025, my life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma—breast cancer. Like many people, I had no idea that men could develop this disease, so the diagnosis came as a complete shock.

In the weeks that followed, I underwent a left-side mastectomy. It was one of the most difficult seasons of my life, bringing physical, emotional, and mental challenges I never imagined facing. That experience changed my perspective on what truly matters.

Today, I carry that journey with me in everything I create. It has strengthened my appreciation for life, deepened my empathy for others, and reinforced my commitment to serving people with honesty, care, and excellence. My passion and purpose are simple: to create meaningful products and make a positive impact in the lives of those I have the privilege to serve.
